Cries From The Wheat
Field
Rev. Duane
E. Ball
It was on
Monday, June 28th during "Faith Ride 99" when we were riding our bikes along
Rt. 697 to Fort Wayne when the Lord spoke to my spirit in such a prophetic
way about the future. My spirit man was able to hear what my natural ears
could not hear. The Spirit leads and guides us according to John 16:13...so
greater for Jesus to leave so the comforter may come.
As I was riding my bike, there were many large wheat fields along the way.
God by His Spirit impressed upon me the "wheat field." As Christians know, a
wheat field often represents a harvest of souls. As the Spirit began to move
upon my heart. I was reminded of scriptures but more importantly of people
that were represented in that wheat field.
It was at that point that the Lord showed me some things in my spirit man.
He began to allow me to audibly hear the cries of His people in my spirit
and it was then that God began to take over my spirit for God always desires
that His Spirit be allowed to take control.
The same
Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in me. Romans 8:11.
There is a war that is waged between the flesh and the soul. 1Peter 2:11.
Because I was nearly physically and mentally spent from riding so hard and
desiring to hear from God, I believe I was in position for this audible
manifestation to take place. I was able to hear young children crying...a
woman abused by her husband...battered wives and battered
children....elderly men and women locked up in nursing homes, no family, no
one to comfort them, just lying on their death beds for months, sometimes
for years. Alone, waiting for someone to come.
I can’t describe in words what I heard and experienced in my spirit. I
sensed that there was something very significant about what God had just
shown me. I knew that I was to use what I had just heard and felt in my
spirit for Operation Harvest. Prior to this ride God had
already begun to give me pieces of the work He had for me and for the year
2000...Operation Harvest. This just all too perfectly fit the
vision that God was impressing upon my heart. So I knew that the "wheat
field" had something to do with the project. It was a major piece to the
puzzle that God had been revealing to me.
In order that I could be reminded of that specific moment when God spoke to
me, I picked some wheat and attached it to my bike. That wheat is a constant
reminder of the cries I heard in that Wheat Field. |
